Are you having some communication issues with your teenager?

My name is Jane and I would like to welcome you to

  face2face

Untitled design-24_edited.jpg

face2face is an opportunity for you to improve your communication with your teenager.

I will guide you through private one hour online workshop sessions, that will help both of you recognise what may have been going wrong between you, in terms of the way you speak and listen to each other.

Communication is a two-way street and usually, between parents and teens, errors are being made on both sides. Small adjustments and increased awareness can make huge improvements in our relationship with our children.

Who can join face2face?

The workshops are open to any parents or carers of children aged 12 upwards.

It aims to help ALL parents (not just those experiencing difficulties)

to improve their understanding and ability to communicate with their young people.

What’s in it for the young people?

1. It is an opportunity for them to be properly ‘heard’ by their parent. To have a safe place where they can express their points of view in controlled exercises.

2. On completion of the four sessions, they receive an Advanced Communication Skills certificate that can be added to their academic portfolios.

The Sessions

The Details

The sessions consist of one parent and one teen (12 upwards) engaging in lots of 121 exercises with each other. The sessions are delivered live online via zoom and are facilitated by Jane Keyworth, Lead Facilitator at FACE, but your teen does not have to appear or speak on camera unless they would like to.

This is not therapy, it is skills practice, and can make big improvements fast.

Face2face is four separate sessions that are each one hour long and delivered online via Zoom. Teens do not have to appear or speak on camera (Parents do) but they need to be able to see and hear what the facilitator is saying.

You do not have to do all four sessions. You can do one and see how it goes, if you both like it, you can do more (or not). Each session is £55. If you book all four together you receive a discount of £20 from the total price.

In each session the facilitator will introduce and explain a series of one -to -one exercises that you and your teen carry out together in private, with your camera and mic off. There is absolutely nothing embarrassing...we promise!

Session 1 - Hearing each other

Session 2 - Self-esteem and mutual respect

Session 3 - Underlying emotions and influence

Session 4 - Moving forward together

The most important thing is that your teen wants to take part and is not pushed into it at all. If they are forced, it just doesn't work and they don't engage on the day.

I was so surprised at how informative and genuinely useful Jane's sessions have been. I learnt so much and I have completely changed my approach with my teenagers!
